Cookies and local storage

There is no banner, and that is deliberate
Hanny sets no advertising trackers, no audience measurement tools and no social media buttons.
Consent is only required for trackers that are not necessary for the service. We use none: so there is nothing to ask you, and a banner would only make you click for nothing.
What is actually stored
- Session cookie: keeps you logged in from one visit to the next, for seven days renewed at each visit. Inaccessible to the page’s JavaScript, limited to the authentication addresses, and deleted when you log out. Without it, you would have to log in again every time the page reloads.
- Language cookie: remembers the language you chose (French or English), so that the following pages and the sign-up are shown in that language. Kept for one year, it contains only that value and is not used for any tracking.
- Theme: remembers your choice between light, dark and automatic. Stored in your browser, never sent to our servers.
- Business sector: remembers, for each brand, the sector chosen for topic suggestions. Stored in your browser, never sent to our servers.
If an error occurs on the page, a technical report is sent to our monitoring service, without any cookie or tracker: see the Privacy policy page.
If you arrive on the sign-up page through a tracked link, the source stated in that link is recorded with your account. It is read from the page address, not from a cookie, and nothing is kept in your browser: see the Privacy policy page.
The token that authenticates your requests, for its part, lives only in memory and disappears when the tab is closed: keeping it in the browser would expose it to the slightest injection flaw.
Deleting them
You can delete these items from your browser settings. The consequence is mechanical: you will be logged out and your display preferences will start again from scratch. The service itself continues to work.
